• Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. • Cut sweet potato into fries. • Place fries on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and toss to coat. Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.

TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide between two trays.

• When fries have 5 minutes remaining, cut chicken breast into 2cm-thick strips. • In a medium bowl, combine All-American spice blend, a pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil. Add chicken, tossing to coat. • In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through (when no longer pink inside), 3-4 minutes each side.

Little cooks: Help combine the ingredients for the seasoning and have a go at tossing the chicken!

• While the chicken is cooking, halve bake-at-home burger buns and bake directly on a wire rack in the oven, until heated through, 2-3 minutes. • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine slaw mix, half the smokey aioli and a drizzle of white wine vinegar. Toss to combine. Season to taste. Set aside. • Thinly slice tomato.

Little cooks: Lend a hand by tossing the slaw!

• Spread each bun with the remaining smokey aioli, then top with smokey slaw, tomato and American-spiced chicken. • Serve with sweet potato fries. Enjoy!

Little cooks: Take the lead and help build the burgers!

  • Flavour: Many loved the smokey aioli and All-American spice blend, though some found it overpowering or too spicy.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and easy to make, perfect for a weeknight dinner or as an alternative to takeaway.
  • Suggestions: Several added onions, cheese, or extra salad ingredients to enhance the burger's flavour and texture.
  • Leftovers: Some enjoyed leftover chicken and slaw for lunch the next day.
  • Portions: Generous servings satisfied hungry families, with enough to feed more than two in some cases.
  • Kid-friendly: While many kids enjoyed it, some found the spice blend too strong for young palates.
