Crispy-edged smashed pork patties are piled into warm gyros with cool, creamy tzatziki, salty fetta and tangy pickled onion — every bite a little chaotic, in the best way. Served alongside golden fries for the full Greek street food experience, right from your kitchen.

½

(Contains: Soy May be present: Gluten, Wheat)
1 drizzle
olive oil

• Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced.
• Cut potato into fries.
• Place on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil,
and toss to coat.
• Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes. Remove from
oven, sprinkle with chicken salt and toss to coat.
TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide between two trays.
Little cooks: Help with sprinkling over the seasoning
and tossing the fries.

• Meanwhile, thinly slice red onion (see ingredients).
• In a medium bowl, combine the vinegar and a
good pinch of sugar and salt. Add onion to pickling
liquid. Add enough water to just cover onion. Set
aside.
Little cooks: Don your goggles and have a go at
peeling off the onion's outer layer!

• Finely chop garlic. Grate cucumber and squeeze
out any excess moisture using paper towel.
• In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over
medium-high heat. Cook garlic until fragrant,
1 minute.
• Transfer garlic oil to a small heatproof bowl, then
add Greek-style yoghurt and grated cucumber.
Stir to combine. Season to taste with salt and
pepper.

• In a second medium bowl, combine pork mince and
Mediterranean seasoning.
• Spread pork mixture evenly over one side of each
flatbread.

• Return frying pan to high heat with a drizzle of
olive oil.
• Cook flatbreads, meat-side down, until golden
and cooked through, 4-5 minutes.
TIP: Cook flatbreads in batches if your pan is getting
crowded!

• Drain pickled onion.
• Divide smashed Greek pork gyros between plates.
Top each flatbread with some chicken salt fries,
pickled onion and mixed salad leaves.
• Drizzle over tzatziki and crumble over fetta cubes.
• Serve with remaining fries. Enjoy!
Little cooks: Add the finishing touch by crumbling over
the fetta!
