Review summary

Updated on July 2026
  • Flavour: Most found the dish tasty and satisfying, though some felt the sauce was mild and benefited from extra seasoning or spice.
  • Ease of prep: Consistently praised as quick and straightforward, making it a reliable choice for busy weeknights.
  • Suggestions: Some felt the bolognese sauce was a little thin or bland; adding extra seasoning and draining excess oil from the pan before making the sauce helped boost depth of flavour. A few reviewers noted the mince could be tricky to break apart, so working it apart early in cooking helps.
  • Portions: Portion sizes were generally well received for families, though a few found the tortellini quantity on the smaller side.
  • Tortellini: Opinions on the spinach-ricotta filling were mixed — many loved the combination, while others found the ricotta flavour quite strong or preferred a plain pasta instead.
