Cooking Steps

Cook the beef
1

• Heat a large frying pan over high heat.
• Cook beef mince (no need for oil!) and chermoula spice blend, breaking up with
a spoon, until just browned, 3-4 minutes.
• Add baby spinach leaves and cook until just wilted, 1 minute. Season to taste
with salt and pepper.

Get prepped
2

• Meanwhile, roughly chop tomato.
• Slice lemon into wedges.

Heat the gözleme
3

• Microwave large wraps on a microwave-safe plate in 10 second bursts until warmed through.
• Spoon beef mixture over one-half of each wrap, then top with tomato. Crumble over fetta cubes and sprinkle with grated mozzarella, then fold over to form a half-moon.
• Cook gözleme in a sandwich press until golden brown and cheese is melted,  3-4 minutes.

TIP: Warming the wraps through helps them fold easily without tearing!

Finish & serve
4

• Cut gözleme into wedges.
• Divide cheat’s Turkish beef, fetta and spinach gözleme between plates.
• Serve with lemon wedges and garlic sauce. Enjoy!

Customer reviews

Review summary

Updated on Oct 2026
  • Flavour: The chermoula-spiced mince with spinach, fetta, and mozzarella was widely praised for its flavour, though some found the overall seasoning a little mild. Several reviewers felt the garlic sauce was very strong and caused stomach discomfort, so use it sparingly if you are sensitive to bold garlic flavour.
  • Ease of prep: Most found it quick and straightforward to assemble, with the sandwich press making it easy to achieve a golden, melted result.
  • Suggestions: Warming the wraps thoroughly before filling helps prevent tearing. Some reviewers suggested adding more fetta or extra seasoning to boost the flavour, and one found that adding sour cream alongside the garlic sauce worked well.
  • Portions: One reviewer noted there was enough filling left over for a snack the next day, while another felt the meat quantity was a little light.
  • Leftovers: At least one reviewer had enough gözleme left for a snack the following day.
