• In a large frying pan, heat a generous drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. • When oil is hot, add gnocchi and fry, tossing occasionally, until golden, 6-8 minutes. Season. Transfer gnocchi to a bowl and cover to keep warm.

TIP: Add more olive oil if the gnocchi sticks to the pan.

Review summary

Updated on Feb 2026
  • Flavour: Many loved the creamy, flavoursome sauce, though some found it overly salty or rich. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Ease of prep: Quick and easy to make, though some struggled with frying the gnocchi as it stuck to the pan.
  • Suggestions: Try boiling the gnocchi instead of frying, or use an air fryer for crispy results. Add bacon or chicken for extra flavour.
  • Leftovers: Several enjoyed it reheated the next day, with some finding the flavours even better.
  • Portions: While many found it filling, some wanted larger serves or added extra vegetables for more bulk.
