Review summary

Updated on Feb 2026
  • Flavour: Some found them deliciously chocolatey, while others felt they lacked richness. Adding extra cocoa or chocolate chips could boost the flavour.
  • Ease of prep: Very easy to make, with many finding it a great recipe for kids to help with.
  • Suggestions: Watch cooking time closely to avoid dryness. Some found adding extra milk or oil improved the batter consistency.
  • Leftovers: Best eaten fresh; they tend to dry out quickly. Try reheating or freezing to maintain moisture.
  • Portions: Recipe yields more than expected, with many reporting 12-18 muffins instead of the stated 10+.
