• Preheat the oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced. Cut potato into fries. • Place fries on a lined oven tray, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. • Toss to coat, then bake until tender, 20-25 minutes
• While the fries are baking, combine the beef mince, Aussie spice blend, the egg and fine breadcrumbs in a medium bowl. • Using damp hands, form into 2cm thick patties slightly larger than your buns (1 patty per person).
• In a large frying pan, heat a small drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. • Add the bacon and cook turning until golden and crisp, 3-4 minutes each side. • Add the brown sugar and water and cook until caramelised, 30 seconds. Transfer to a plate lined with baking paper.
Custom Recipe: If you added shredded Cheddar In the last 1-2 minutes of cook time, sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over patties and cover with a lid so cheese melts.
• While the burgers are cooking, slice bake-athome burger buns into halves. Place buns on a wire rack in the oven until heated through, 3 minutes. • Meanwhile, thinly slice the tomato
• Spread the burger bun bases with some of the mayonnaise. • Top with some mixed salad leaves, the beef patties, tomato and bacon. • Serve with fries. Enjoy!
