Cooking Steps

Bake the fries
1

• Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced.
• Cut potato into fries. Place on a lined oven tray,
drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat.
• Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.
• Sprinkle fries with chicken salt (see ingredients)
and toss to coat. Transfer to a bowl.

TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide fries between
two trays.
Little cooks: Help sprinkle over the chicken salt and
toss the fries!

Cook the sweetcorn
2

• Meanwhile, drain sweetcorn.
• Heat a large frying pan over high heat. Cook corn kernels until lightly browned, 4-5 minutes.
• Transfer to a bowl, then add the butter. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover to keep warm.

TIP: Cover the pan with a lid if the kernels are
“popping” out.

Get prepped
3

• Chop broccoli (including stalk!) into small florets.
• Cut chicken breast into 2cm chunks.
• In a medium bowl, combine chicken, Aussie spice blend and the olive oil (1/4 tbsp per person).
• Add cornflour and the plain flour to the chicken mixture, then toss to coat.

Cook the chicken
4

• Wipe out frying pan, then return over high heat with
enough olive oil to coat the base.
• When oil is hot, dust off any excess flour from chicken and cook, tossing occasionally, until browned and cooked through, 5-6 minutes (cook in batches if your pan is getting crowded).
• Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Season to taste with salt.

TIP: Chicken is cooked through when it’s no longer
pink inside.

Steam the broccoli & make the slaw
5

• Meanwhile, place broccoli on a large
microwave-safe plate. Cover with a damp
paper towel and microwave on high, 4 minutes.
• Drain, season with salt and pepper and set aside.
• In a second medium bowl, combine slaw mix, the
mayonnaise and a drizzle of white wine vinegar.

Little cooks: Take charge and help combine the slaw!

Finish & serve
6

• Just before serving, in a medium heatproof bowl,
combine gravy granules and the boiling water  (see ingredients), whisking, until smooth,  1 minute.
• Bring everything to the table. Build your own plate
with Aussie chicken bites, chips, steamed broccoli,
slaw and gravy to serve. Enjoy!

If you’ve added pita bread: Microwave on a
microwave-safe plate until warmed through, 1 minute.
