Cooking Steps

Cook the steak
1

• Thinly slice brown onion (see ingredients).• In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
• When the oil is hot, cook porterhouse steak and onion for 3-5 minutes each side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your liking. Using tongs, hold steak upright and sear fat until golden, 1 minute. • In the last minute of cook time, sprinkle over Aussie spice blend, pour over sweet & savoury glaze. Transfer to a plate to rest. Thinly slice steak before serving.

Bake the fries
2

• Meanwhile, cut potato into fries. • Place fries on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. • Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes. TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide the fries between two trays.

Toss the salad
3

• While fries are baking, thinly slice cucumber into rounds. • Cut tomato into thin wedges. • Just before serving, in a large bowl, combine mixed salad leaves, tomato, cucumber and a drizzle of vinegar and olive oil. Season. Little cooks: Take the lead by tossing the salad!

Finish & serve
4

 • Divide porterhouse steak, fries and garden salad between plates. Pour sticky onion sauce from baking dish over porterhouse steak. Enjoy!
