• While the brisket is baking, cut potato into fries. • Place fries on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and toss to coat. • Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.

TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide fries between two trays.

• While the fries are baking, grate carrot. • In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage mix, carrot, a drizzle of white wine vinegar and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. • When the fries have 5 minutes remaining, halve bake-at-home burger buns and bake directly on a wire oven rack until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

Review summary

Updated on July 2026
  • Flavour:Ā The BBQ beef brisket is a standout, with many customers praising its rich, tender flavour and saucy goodness. Some found the overall burger mild or the spice blend too salty, so adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Ease of prep:Ā Most found this a quick and easy meal, especially appreciated on busy weeknights. Note that the brisket does need a little time to heat through properly before shredding.
  • Suggestions:Ā Many customers swapped the vinegar-and-oil slaw dressing for mayonnaise or mixed the herby mayo into the slaw instead of spreading it on the bun, finding it made the burger much more enjoyable. A few also suggested adding cheese, pickles, or a mild chilli kick to round out the burger.
  • Leftovers:Ā Leftover brisket reheats well and works beautifully in wraps or on Turkish bread the next day.
  • Portions:Ā Some customers felt the brisket quantity was on the lean side, particularly for a family of four, with a few noting a high fat ratio reduced the usable meat.
  • Chips:Ā Getting the chips crispy was a common challenge; cooking them in an air fryer or spreading them across two trays rather than one produced better results.
