So, what is HelloFresh?

We’re a meal kit delivery service designed to make mealtimes quick, easy and delicious! We do this by delivering fresh, seasonal ingredients and easy-to-follow recipe cards right to your door, making it quick and easy for you to cook wholesome dinners the whole household will love.

You select your recipes to create your perfect menu, and we’ll deliver the exact amounts of everything you need to make the meal. You’ll just need to have a few pantry staples on hand.

We run a flexible subscription, so there’s no scary lock-in terms or cancellation fees. The best part? You can manage your account on the go via our free HelloFresh app. If you want to make changes to your account, skip weeks or cancel, just make sure you do so by the weekly order cut-off.

What delivery service does HelloFresh use?

What type of bags does HelloFresh use for produce?

Your ingredients arrive in a barrier coated paper bags with a thin inner lining, to keep your produce fresher for longer. They are designed to go in your fridge, and reduce outside moisture from spoiling your ingredients. Goodbye soft carrots!

The best part? They're 100% recyclable.

Do you offer a seniors discount?

We sure do! Seniors can receive a 10% weekly discount. Adding the seniors discount to your account is easy! All you need to do is confirm your age using a seniors card, passport or drivers license via the following link.

Who qualifies for the seniors discount?Anyone who is over the age of 60 and has a valid passport, drivers license or government issued seniors card is eligible for the seniors discount.

I'm already a HelloFresh customer, can I get the seniors discount?Yes! If you already have a HelloFresh account and are over the age of 60, you are eligible. Click here to add the seniors discount to your account.

How long does the seniors discount apply for?Good news - there is no time limit to your seniors discount!

I'm having trouble verifying my age, who should I contact?We're sorry to hear you're having trouble verifying your age. If you are having trouble submitting identification through GoCertify, you can submit a request for support with them here. Of course, our customer care team is always available to help, and if you still need assistance you can reach out to them.

Please note: the seniors discount only applies to the core HelloFresh menu and does not include surcharges (such as Premium Recipes; eg: Gourmet, Gourmet Plus, Fresh & Fast) and add-on menu items (such as Sides, Snacks, Ready to Heat meals, Fruit Boxes).

What is the bookmark icon?

The HelloFresh Cookbook is essentially your own digital kitchen, letting you save your favorite recipes from all over the web—Instagram, TikTok, and more—right here in your app. To learn more, click HERE.

How do I add or view recipes in my cookbook?

Add a recipe

You can keep all your favorite finds in one place. When you spot a recipe you love on social media or a website, just tap the Share icon on your phone and select the HelloFresh app from the list (you might need to tap 'More' or '...' to find us). We’ll whisk that recipe right into your digital cookbook, ingredients and all!

View saved recipes

To find your saved and imported recipes, just tap the Bookmark icon at the top of your HelloFresh app. It’s like having a secret stash of delicious inspiration right in your pocket.

My Qantas points have not applied

Oh no! There are a few reasons why your Qantas points may not have been applied: The Qantas discount code was not applied at the checkout. If you forgot to add your code, unfortunately this cannot be applied to your orders; The email address under your Qantas Account and HelloFresh account don't match, contact our customer care team for assistance here on 02 8188 8722; Qantas is working on it!

Points do take 60 days to apply to your account, rest assured they're worth the wait!

How do I order a box?

Ready to save time and enjoy delicious dinners? Here's how to join the HelloFresh family:

  1. Go to our website, select ‘Our Plans’ and choose a plan.

  2. Create your account: select delivery day/time and add payment details.

  3. Browse our delicious menu and choose your favourite recipes!

  4. Read and accept the Terms & Conditions, then hit ‘Place your order.’

  5. Check you received a confirmation email, and you're set!

How do I reactivate my subscription?

We are so happy to hear you're coming back to HelloFresh! To reactivate your subscription click the button below:

Please take a few minutes to ensure your details are all up to date and correct. Don't forget, if you need to make any changes to your upcoming delivery, make sure that you do so before your scheduled delivery cut-off which you can find in the ‘My Deliveries’ section of your account.

How do I change my menu preference?

To change your menu preference, simply follow the instructions below:

On the HelloFresh app (via your phone):

  • On the app homepage, go to ‘Settings’ in the bottom right corner of the page
  • Select the ‘Edit’ button on ‘Plan Settings’
  • Select your menu preference from the drop down menu
  • Scroll down to save your changes!

    On the HelloFresh website (via desktop/computer):
  • On the website homepage, look for your name in an icon in the top right corner of the page. Click here and select ‘Account Settings’ in the drop down menu
  • Under 'Plan Settings', select your menu preference from the drop down menu
  • Remember to save your changes!
Do you cater for my dietary requirements?

We understand it can be tricky to cater to a household of different requirements, so our Food Info page is here to save the day! You can find all the allergen information for your ingredients here.

Gluten Free
We offer recipes on our weekly menu that do not include 'bread or pasta; these come under the ‘No Bread or Pasta’ menu preference. These recipes will suit customers with dietary restrictions or who are looking to reduce their gluten intake; however they are not labelled as or classified as gluten-free due to risks of cross-contact in grain farming and production facilities. This means they are not suitable for coeliacs to consume.

Paleo/Vegan/Keto
At this stage we don't have a purely paleo, vegan or keto meal plan available. However you can always select your meals each week and we have a diverse range of plant based recipes. This should allow you to align your HelloFresh with your dietary needs. We also find a little tweaking will allow you to enjoy HelloFresh with your Paleo or Ketogenic diet!

Halal
At this stage, some of our meat suppliers are certified Halal whilst others are not, so we are unable to guarantee a meal plan suitable for those following a Halal diet.

Keep in mind, the ingredients are separately packed and clearly labelled so you have the opportunity to omit or substitute any ingredient that you can't, or don't want to eat. Many of our customers with special dietary needs in the family find that our HelloFresh boxes work well for them!

Are all ingredients sourced from Australia?
At HelloFresh, we source seasonal quality ingredients directly from Australian producers and suppliers wherever possible. We know it's important for you to know where your food comes from, and exactly what goes into it. Click here for more information.
Are the ingredients organic?

At HelloFresh, although we use mostly conventional produce rather than organic, we do try and source our ingredients from ethically responsible suppliers and will always try and source Australian produce wherever possible. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with only fresh quality ingredients.

How can I give feedback on the recipes?

We love hearing your feedback! In fact, we use it in the recipe development process to make sure our recipes are always to your liking. Each week, we send an email asking you to rate your recipes from the previous week. The email will link you to our website where you can give each recipe a score and provide any additional feedback. Alternatively, you can rate your recipes through the HelloFresh app or on the 'Past Deliveries' page.

Be sure to give your favourite recipes 4 stars so we can ensure to bring back those customer favourites from time to time!

Why was my discounted box cancelled?

We have a limit of one promotional offer per household on your first box, so be sure to read the Terms & Conditions of the voucher you are attempting to claim. If your discount code is only valid for first-time customers and you have enjoyed a HelloFresh box before sadly you won’t be able to use this voucher.

If you already have an existing account with HelloFresh, we may need to cancel your order so you can reactivate your previous account. We’ll let you know via email or SMS if this has happened.

What is Eco Deliveries?

At HelloFresh, we’re committed to finding ways to be more sustainable while continuing to deliver delicious, fresh recipes to your door every week.

That’s why, after a lot of testing, we’re introducing Eco Deliveries! Depending on where you live and when you get your box delivered, you may be able to choose to have your box delivered without any ice packs. Your ingredients will stay fresh and delicious, just with less packaging!

This exciting initiative will not only help reduce non-recyclable soft plastics, the weight reduction also reduces the fuel consumption of our delivery vans.

To opt in or out of Eco Deliveries, simply head to your account settings and update your delivery window to suit your preference.

Please note: *This is only available for our customers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and surrounding areas. While we can’t offer this for now in your area we are constantly reviewing opportunities to expand our delivery offering, so keep an eye out for updates!

Also note, if the forecasted temperature on your delivery day is above 25°C, your delivery will include ice packs to ensure the safety of your ingredients.

If I experienced a food safety issue with my box, ingredient(s), and/or specific meal-kit, what should I do?
  • At HelloFresh, your safety and the quality of our ingredients is our highest priority.
  • In the event that you experience a food safety issue or concern with your order, please reach out to our Customer Care team. You will be directed to a specialised team of food safety agents who provide dedicated support and assistance.
  • To help with our investigation, we may request additional information such as recipe names, packaging details (e.g., batch numbers and best before dates), photos, or other relevant information. Please make sure to keep the object and packaging.
Can I send free boxes to my friends and family?

"Absolutely! Our HelloFriends program offers you the chance to share free HelloFresh boxes with your friends and family and earn credit in return. They’ll receive a week of free meals and you’ll receive a credit off your next box when they sign up. It's a win, win.

To check whether you are eligible to send boxes you just need to log in to your account and you will see a small gift box with a number on it next to your name at the top right. If you’re using the HelloFresh app, simply choose the ‘HelloFriends’ button at the bottom of the screen. From here, select ‘Send free box’, enter your friend's email address and they'll receive instructions on how to redeem their freebie.

Once your friend has redeemed their free box and placed an order, you will receive an email notifying you that your credit is ready to redeem. Simply click the ‘Use Credit’ button and your credit will move from ‘pending’ to ‘received’ balance and automatically apply to your next delivery (unless there is a current discount code on your account). Please note, the ‘received’ balance will reflect the total credit you’ve received from every referral, not your remaining balance."

How does the HelloFriends program work?

How do I redeem my HelloFriends credit?Your HelloFriends credit will be applied to your account when your friend signs up to HelloFresh and redeems their free box voucher. Once your friend redeems their free box and places an order, you will receive an email notifying you that your credit is ready to redeem. Simply click the ‘Use Credit’ button and your credit will be activated and automatically apply to your next delivery. If you’re having trouble finding this email, please check your inbox and spam folder.

What do pending HelloFriends credit mean?Under the ‘pending’ balance in the HelloFriends section of your HelloFresh account, you will see a credit for each friend you have sent an email to with the free box promotion.

Please note, the ‘received’ balance will reflect the total credit you’ve received from every referral, not your remaining balance.

What else is HelloFresh doing to progress our sustainability goals or improve packaging?

By sourcing many of our ingredients directly from local suppliers we remove steps from the traditional supply chain. This saves carbon emissions by cutting back on transport time and extra storage. In fact, our Life Cycle Analysis has shown that HelloFresh meals create 15% fewer carbon emissions than the same meals made from supermarket ingredients. If you’re looking for recipes with the lowest carbon emissions on our menu each week, keep an eye out for the “Climate Superstar” tag.

We are continuously innovating to find more sustainable options or to remove packaging altogether. The good news is that a lot of the packaging from your box (including the box itself!) can be recycled. Head on over to our packaging page to find out more.

Is HelloFresh a subscription?

Yes. We’re passionate about making it easier for you to cook delicious, nutritious meals with fresh ingredients from scratch on a regular basis. It’s better for you, your family and even the planet! But we know that your busy schedule can sometimes make it difficult, so we operate as a subscription to take all of the hard bits (like meal planning and shopping) off your hands. We just leave you to do the fun bit – choosing your favourite dishes, cooking and eating with your loved ones!

We know subscriptions have got a bad rep with confusing contracts, hidden terms and unwanted extras. That’s why we operate as a flexible subscription – meaning there is no minimum term and you can change your deliveries to fit in with your lifestyle! Enjoy week-to-week flexibility, and you can make account changes, skip weeks or cancel your account at any time before the weekly order cut-off.

What's in the box?

In addition to receiving easy-to-follow recipe cards with step-by-step instructions, you’ll also receive all the pre-portioned ingredients you need to make each meal. Your protein, dairy and condiments are packed in our cool pouches with ice packs to keep cool in case you're not home when your box arrives!

There may be some things you need to keep handy, such as salt, pepper, water and oil. These are things you will usually have in the pantry, and if you're ever unsure of what pantry items you will need for your recipes, you can always log in to your online account or your HelloFresh app and click on your menu to check these out in advance.

Can I edit saved recipes in my cookbook?
You’re the head chef here. To make a recipe your own, open it up and tap the Pencil icon. From there, you can tweak the name, swap out ingredients, or add extra cooking steps to make it perfect for your kitchen. Happy cooking!
How do I remove one of my saved recipes?
Cleaning out your digital pantry? No problem! Just tap the Bookmark icon to view your recipes, select the one you’d like to remove, and tap the Trash bin icon. Don't worry, if you change your mind later, you can always re-import it!
