Cooking Steps

Bake the potato wedges

• Preheat oven to 240°C/220°C fan-forced.
• Cut potato into wedges.
• Place wedges on a lined oven tray. Drizzle with olive 
oil, season with salt and toss to coat.
• Bake until tender, 20-25 minutes.


TIP: If your oven tray is crowded, divide between  
two trays. 

Roast the corn

• Meanwhile, cut corn cobs in half. 
• Place on a second lined oven tray, drizzle with  
olive oil, season with salt and toss to coat.
• Roast until tender and slightly charred,  15-20 minutes. 

Prep the chicken

• Place your hand flat on top of chicken breast and 
slice through horizontally to make two thin steaks.
• In a medium bowl, combine chicken steaks,  
All-American spice blend and a drizzle of olive oil, 
then season with salt and pepper.  

Cook the chicken

• In a large frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil over 
medium-high heat.
• Cook chicken steaks until cooked through,  3-6 minutes each side (cook in batches if your pan is 
getting crowded).


TIP: Chicken is cooked through when it’s no longer pink inside.

Make the slaw

• While chicken is cooking, in a second medium bowl, 
add slaw mix and garlic aioli, then toss to coat. 
Season to taste.

• Slice chicken.
• Bring everything to the table. Build your own plate 
with Southern-style chicken, slaw, potato wedges, 
corn, BBQ sauce, pickled jalapeños (if using) and 
Cheddar cheese to serve. Enjoy!
