13th January 2022 - An update from the CEO on our operations

Dear customers,

I’d like to wish you a very Happy New Year on behalf of the HelloFresh team.

The start of this year has seen the country transition in its approach to COVID, resulting in increased levels of community transmission that have affected food supply chains.

You may have noticed that in this time of change, there have been some substitutions to ingredients in your box. Our suppliers are experiencing labour shortages due to the number of people in isolation, which is impacting the availability of some items.

We understand that it’s frustrating to not receive the ingredient you were expecting. We’re working closely with our suppliers to monitor any changes in availability, and plan for any substitutions required.

When we're unable to source an ingredient, we’ll do everything we can to swap it for something that meets our high quality standards and works well with the recipe you have selected, while providing you with an update as early as possible. If we are unable to make a substitution, we will proactively credit your account for the missing item - there is no need to contact our team.
